Before starting a driving lesson:
You must have your valid Class Car Learner's Permit / Driving Permit or Car Licence on you (Your driving instructor will ask you to show it to him at the start of the driving lesson). You confirm that you don't have any drugs and/or alcohol in your body. You must be fit and healthy to start your driving lesson. The student must wear appropriate shoes for driving (No high heels, shoes without straps or sandals and no shoes with sole more than 3 cm thick).
Driving lesson fees (Subject to change without notice):
Lesson fee must be paid in full by cash on the day before the start of the lesson. Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer the day before the driving lesson.
- 60 minutes lesson: $110
- 90 minutes lesson: $160
- VORT test using the examiner's car: $300 (Including $38 government booking fee)
- VORT booking arrangement service charge (for our students only): $250
- CBT&A Task 30 Final Drive Assessment: $260 (including government booking fee)
The driving lesson:
The time and date which is booked with the driving instructor. The driving lesson shall start on time and finish on time. It will include any paperwork, theory training and explanation. If the driving instructor is late, he will make up the lost time at the same lesson. Unless it isn't convenient to the student, the instructor will make up the lost time at the next lesson. If the student is late for the driving lesson for any reasons, the student will forfeit the time and the lesson will still finish on time.
Cancellation policy:
If the cancellation of the driving lesson happens more than 24 hours prior to the booked time, there won't be any charges. If the cancellation is less than 24 hours, a $50 cancellation fee may be payable before starting the next driving lesson. If the driving instructor turns up on time and the student is a NO SHOW or wants to cancel the lesson, the full lesson fee is payable.
VORT (Vehicle On Road Test):
If you want our instructor to do the test for you (using our instructor's car): Pay the fee in full by bank transfer at the time of the booking.
Once the test is booked and confirmed, if you want to change the date and or time, or you want to cancel the test for any reasons, you will forfeit the government booking fee ($38) and you will need to pay a new one to re-book it. Booking fee is not refundable. If you don't turn up for the test or cancel it with less than 24 hours before the start time, you will forfeit the entire test fee.
Before starting the VORT, it is your responsibility to:
- Wear appropriate footwear for the test (For safety reasons, thongs or sandals are not permitted).
- For Overseas licence conversion drivers, you must have your valid temporary driving permit and your photo I.D with you at the start of the test. For learner drivers, you need to have your current Learner's Permit with you.
When you train with us for a vehicle on road test (VORT):
We will organise your driving test for you with the independent examiner. Our instructor will pick you up 30 minutes prior to the time of the test. You then drive to the start point and use our instructor's car for the test. At the conclusion of the test, our instructor will drop you off back home (if it's convenient).
The independent examiner who does the test for you, charges a set fee (Between $200-$220 including government booking fee $38). The examiner may require a full payment before booking the VORT for you. That examiner is not working for 101 Driver Training. He/she will just provide the service. You will also agree to that examiner's Terms and Conditions.
